SWIFT ARMOUR S.A
SWIFT ARMOUR S.A is a leader in the preparation of meat products and exports to 70 countries, proudly upholding the principle of processing without ever transforming the nature of its raw material.
The name SWIFT ARMOUR S.A ARGENTINA goes back to Gustavus Swift and Philip Armour, who in 1860, in Chicago, were the pioneers of the meat chilling industry. In Argentina the company was set up in 1907 at a time when Argentina began to export to Europe as La Plata Cold Storage, and later as Cia. Swift de la Plata S.A. Frigorifica. Since then the companys history was built through objectives and achievements, such as its constant technological advances in the processing of products that set the trend in the meat industry until in 1993 it achieved the auspicious and significant goal of inaugurating in Villa Gobernador Galvez, in the province of Santa Fe, one of the most modern industrial complexes in the world.
In 2002 the factory in San Jose, Entre Rios, was added with increased production. And the leading Cabaña Las Lilas brand is added so as to supply increasingly better products both for export as well as for consumption by the domestic market and satisfy the preferences of the most demanding customers.
Of the 11,000 tons of Frozen Cooked Meat that Argentina exports to the United States, 75% is exported by Swift. New investments increase, then, the production of cooked and frozen meat, giving it increased added value through the IQF (Individual Quick Frozen) system: a novel technique that replaces the traditional tubes of cooked frozen meat that were implemented in the 60s and enables processes to be carried out that previously were the responsibility of the customer abroad for the processing of soups, sauces, prepared foods, etc.
