Agro Aceitunera S.A. (NUCETE) dates back to 1947, when the first members of this family settled down in the Arauco Valley (La Rioja). Thanks to the optimal weather, soil, and water conditions, a pioneering industry emerged, which later extended its agricultural and industrial area, also establishing in the province of Mendoza, in the district of Guaymallen. Today, Nucete has become a leader, taking to the Argentine tables and to the world the authentic flavor of the best Mediterranean olive: delicious, nutritious and suitable for many uses.

Situated near the Andes Chain, an ideal region for the cultivation of the bets olives of the Arauco and Manzanilla varieties, Nucete produces green and ripe, whole and pitted, stuffed and sliced olives. Currently, the Nucete group counts with 1,876 hectares planted, under drip irrigation, with the most updated international technology, where more than 486,000 olive trees are cultivated. Most of them have been planted during the last five years, which means they have not yet reached their full production. The olive crop is carried out at the time of the optimal ripeness, preferably during the months of February, March, April (green olives) and May (ripe olives). This activity is made by hand, picking up olive by olive, in order to avoid any possible bump or scratch in the skin of the fruit.

Today, Nucete is the main exporter o Argentina, both in bulk (barrels) and in elaborated and fractioned products labeled with its own brand and third parties’. Nucete records a history of more than 50 years in the country, leading the olive market.
