La Virginia S.A. began as a small family venture that with the drive and motivation of any large-scale company became Café La Virginia S.A in 1915. With a firm work-ethic and constant innovation, the company has become one of the region’s largest and most renowned brands.
Excellence in quality is procured from the selection of raw materials through the process of elaboration, to the point the items are packaged and shipped to their final destination. By incorporating new technologies into its production plants, new and innovative packaging and products are made readily available to the rapidly changing cultures and demands of its consumers worldwide.
The total current production of teas that comprise the raw material of the La Virginia products is of about 60,000 tons per year, and it is mainly within the Misiones region of the country. La Virginia teas go through a rigorous process to ensure the quality of the end-product. The youngest leaves and herbs are selected, dried to remove all humidity, crushed, oxygenated, dried, classified, mixed to assure a complete uniform quality the finally sealed and packaged against humidity.
